Preparing Joe Torre for the West Coast

The Los Angeles Dodgers confirmed Thursday Joe Torre will replace Grady Little,
and plan to officially introduce him Monday as the next Dodger manager.
While everyone wishes Joe well after 12 brilliant seasons with the Yankees, which brought four world championships, and 12 straight post-season appearances, there are some differences between the two coasts the former Yankee, and Brooklyn native, should be aware of.

1.) In New York, players like to drag a bunt, in L.A. they just like to take a drag period.

2.) Everyone’s a ``free swinger’’ in L.A

3.) New York is known for their home run blasts and headfirst slides, while L.A.'s
known for their earthquakes and mudslides.

4.) In New York, fans love to hear the crack of the bat, and the pounding of the leather of a player's mitt, in L.A, they prefer the sounds of leather, whips, and chains.

5.) New York is known for the M & M Boys, L.A, the S & M Boys

6.) New York is known for Murder’s Row; in L.A,  murderer’s: Charles Manson and O.J. Simpson.

7.) While double-headers have become a thing of the past in New York, L.A. still likes a stiff nightcap.

8.) New York’s biggest fashion statement are the Yankees in pinstripes, in L.A. it’s Frederick’s of Hollywood.

9.) While New York fans like to put mustard on their pretzels, L.A. prefers Tofu with soy sauce.

10.)  New York players pride themselves concentrating on the strike zone; L.A. is obsessed with the concentration of the ozone.
