N.Y. Yankees, Lindsay Lohan, Blow a Fortune

What does actress Lindsay Lohan and the New York Yankees have in common?
Both coughed up a staggering amount of cash, without much to show for it.
      It's been
reported the Herbie Fully Loaded star blew a whopping $7.75 million over the last few months, including a million on one hotel bill, $350,000 on luxury cars, and over $500,000 on her reckless nightlife, forcing the partying train wreck to sell her New York and L.A. homes, just to recoup a vanishing bank account
But before throwing stones at the Parent Trap wunderkind for having blown a fortune in such a short period of time, consider how the behemoths of Major League Baseball, the New York Yankees--who fortunately don’t live in glass houses -haven't exactly been running a seminar on sound financial planning.
This is a team, after all, who plunked down $14 million to acquire the services of Roger Clemens, and all the Yankees with their $216 million payroll have to show for their investment was 6 wins with a 4.18 ERA, all for an aging broken-down warhorse, who never made it out of the 3rd inning of the ALDS.
And let's not forget DH Jason Giambi pocketed about $20 million this year, producing 39 RBI's and 60 hits for 83 games of work.
Lohan can take comfort knowing she's not alone in having led a boom to bust lifestyle.
ESPN reports, professional athletes have practically cornered the market for having amassed fortunes, only to see them disappear in the blink of an eye; so too have a number of
other celebrities, including Mark Twain, Elton John, Wayne Newton, and Burt Reynolds
So instead of passing judgment, why don't we just plop a Yankee cap on Lohan's head and tell her to join the club.
