Beantown is Burning

Don't look now, ok you can look, but the Yankees, once taken for dead, find themselves on the stumbling Boston Red Sox's doorstep, who dropped their third straight Tuesday ; and with New York trouncing the Baltimore Orioles, a mere 2 1/2 games now separates the Bombers from their eastern rivals.
The Boston avalanche started when Derek Jeter deposited Curt Schilling's
hanging splitter over the Green Monster on Emmy night , and ever since- nostalgia buffs have been in full force, thinking back when another shortstop, one Bucky Dent, also with two men on, also with two outs, trickled a Mike Torres fastball over the Green Monster in a dramatic one game playoff game at Fenway Park.

It's yet to be determined, a Major League Baseball official told me, ``at the time we did the sites, the Red Sox had a lead of over 5 games.  If it continues to get closer, we will determine a site.''
